Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to lead CASS audits and monitor FAA compliance across maintenance operations and service providers. This remote role requires travel to support audit activities and strong reporting skills.

You will plan schedules, analyze data for trends, and prepare clear audit reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of Ops Specs are essential. A valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and internationally are required.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to Lead QA Auditor and supports QA leadership.
  • Performs CASS audits per FAA regs and manuals.
  • Audits maintenance ops, facilities, processes, vendors, and service providers.
  • Plans audit schedules and travel with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluates compliance, documents audit results, and prepares reports.
  • Reviews corrective actions and follows through to closure.
  • Assists in administration and improvement of CASS.
  • Analyzes data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by QA leadership.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Quality Assurance leadership.

Primary Job Duties

Minimum Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Experience in Part 121 airline maintenance operations.
  • Experience conducting audits of maintenance providers, repair stations, fuel vendors, or aviation service providers.
  • Level III 1A Authorization under C.A.S.E. procedures.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, surveillance, and compliance programs within the aviation industry.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience.
Physical And Other Requirements
  • This is a remote position that requires regular systemwide travel, typically 2-4 days per week
  • Must be able to perform all physical requirements and essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation
    • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.
