Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks an detail-oriented inspector to join our quality team in Boston, MA. You will audit incoming, in-process, and final inspection documents, review device history records, and support the development of inspection procedures, checklists, and instructions.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years of incoming inspection experience, with ability to read prints/drawings and use height gauges, calipers, surface plates, CMM or vision systems.

• Experience with measuring tools like height gauges, calipers, and surface plate; CMM or vision systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete and/or review Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection documentation.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports on nonconformances.
• Review Device History Records and labels for final release activities.
• Inspect field service replaceable units and assist with inspection procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Complete and/or review Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection documentation. (Component Inspection Folders,checklist, release forms, calibration data records etc.Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCE’s) on Nonconformance’s.Perform detailed review of Device History Records and labels as part of final inspection/release activities for thefinished product. Inspect field service replaceable units. Perform requested inspections for Engineering and otherdepartments. (First Articles and Courtesy inspections) And assist with the development of appropriate inspectionprocedures, checklist, forms and Inspection Instructions.Maintain QC Activity Collection Plans and other applicable tracking logs.Prepared incoming inspection reports such as Inspection projects Skip lot and incoming inspection inventory.

Skills

2+ years of experience in incoming inspection experience with the ability to read prints and drawings, use height gauges, calipers, surface plate, CMM or vision system skills are a plus
