Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking an experienced Inspector to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections and maintain related documentation in Milton, MA. You will review logs, generate reports, and support non-conformance investigations while coordinating with engineering and QA teams.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years of hands-on inspection experience, plus familiarity with measurement tools and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in incoming inspection with ability to read prints/drawings.
• Experience using height gauges, calipers and related inspection tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection documentation and forms.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports and coordinate corrective actions.
• Review Device History Records and labels during final inspection and release.
• Inspect field service replaceable units and perform requested inspections for other departments.
• Assist in developing inspection procedures, checklists and instructions.
• Maintain QC activity logs and inspection inventory records.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete and/or review Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection documentation. (Component Inspection Folders,
• checklist, release forms, calibration data records etc.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCE’s) on Nonconformance’s.
• Perform detailed review of Device History Records and labels as part of final inspection/release activities for the
• finished product. Inspect field service replaceable units. Perform requested inspections for Engineering and other
• departments. (First Articles and Courtesy inspections) And assist with the development of appropriate inspection
• procedures, checklist, forms and Inspection Instructions.
• Maintain QC Activity Collection Plans and other applicable tracking logs.
• Prepared incoming inspection reports such as Inspection projects Skip lot and incoming inspection inventory.

Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in incoming inspection experience with the ability to read prints and drawings, use height gauges, calipers, surface plate, CMM or vision system skills are a plus
