Pathway Group in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a detail-oriented inspector to interpret engineering data, read drawings and specifications, and perform visual and dimensional inspections on aviation parts from receiving to first article.

The role requires competence with calipers, micrometers, height gauges and dial indicators, and the ability to write clear nonconformance reports and participate in corrective actions; some travel to supplier sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Interpret engineering data such as drawings and specifications.
• Competent in using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges and indicators.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
• Perform inspections at receiving, in-process, final, and first article stages.
• Write inspection and nonconformance reports.
• Understand tolerances and geometrical/positional tolerances.
• Travel to support suppliers or auditing inspections.
• Review supplier certifications for conformance to requirements.
• Data collection for statistical analysis.
• Education: High School Diploma required; ASQ/Associate degree desired.

JOB SUMMARY

To interpret engineering data such as drawings and specifications and inspect in accordance with the data. Must be able to use standard measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators etc. Perform visual and dimensional inspections for receiving, in process, final and first article inspections on aviation parts from details to top assemblies. Must be able to understand visual and cosmetic standards. Must have the ability to clearly write nonconformance reports and assist in corrective actions investigations.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience Education:

• A High School Diploma is required.

• A two-year college (Associate degree) or ASQ Certification is desired
