Aerotek is seeking a Shipping Associate for a contract role based in Avon, IN. The position focuses on accurate storage, order preparation, and shipping operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities include using RF scanners, ERP systems, and freight software to ensure timely, accurate order processing while maintaining safety and inventory control. On-site support and adherence to QMS/EMS standards are emphasized.
The Shipping Associate ensures products are accurately stored in the warehouse, prepares and processes customer orders for shipment, and supports daily shipping operations in alignment with established procedures and quality standards.
Ensure all products are accurately stored and organized within the warehouse according to established processes.
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipping to various customer sites.
Label and meter packages using various freight and shipping systems in accordance with company procedures.
Process orders using the company’s ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and verify inventory for shipment.
Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory control by tracking, counting, and reconciling stock as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment within the warehouse at all times.
Complete daily preparations for the following day’s shipping activities to ensure smooth operations.
Support divisional initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines during warehouse and shipping operations.
Experience with inventory, shipping, and receiving in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Proficiency in picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
Ability to use RF scanners for inventory management and order processing.
Experience with warehouse shipping processes and freight systems.
Basic understanding of inventory control practices.
Ability to process orders using an ERP system or similar software.
High School Diploma (HS Diploma) required.
Ability to work 2nd shift (1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all shipping-related tasks.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
Familiarity with various freight and shipping systems.
Comfort working with technology such as RF scanners and ERP systems.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

This role is based in a warehouse and distribution center environment on a 2nd shift schedule (1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.). You will work with inventory, shipping and receiving processes, RF scanners, ERP systems, and various freight systems to manage daily shipping activities. The facility emphasizes safety and cleanliness, and you are expected to help maintain an orderly work area. The dress code requires closed toe shoes and long pants to be worn at all times; shorts are not allowed. Pants must be worn at waist level so that undergarments are not visible. Hats of any type are prohibited. Hooded sweatshirts are allowed, but hoods must remain down while working. Tank tops and cutoff shirts are not permitted. Shirts must not display slogans, pictures, words, or images that could be interpreted as offensive. Sunglasses are not allowed on the distribution center floor. The environment is structured and policy-driven, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance with QMS and EMS requirements.
This is a Contract position based out of Avon, IN.
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
