Job summary

Jobtailor in Ohio is seeking a quality control inspector to support centralized data capture, product inspections, and adherence to labeling regulations. You will monitor quality checks, perform audits, and assist in reducing rework and recalls while keeping a safe, compliant work environment.

You will document defects, communicate findings, and train shift teams on SOPs and procedures. The role requires a high school diploma, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to pass background checks;

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate centralized data capture.
• Perform product inspections and audits of quality control programs.
• Perform shipping distribution inspections, sampling, and testing operations.
• Assess draft and final label copy using knowledge of labeling regulations.
• Reduce production rework and recalls.
• Advise operators on escalation procedures.
• Document inbound and trailer defects with photos, initial reports, database entries, and emails.
• Report and follow up on inbound and trailer defects, including returns, rework, and accessorials.
• Distribute WPPS and procedure updates.
• Conduct shift training on Quality, rework projects, standards, and procedures.
• Assist in managing rework projects.
• Serve as Safety Liaison for incident reporting, follow-up, and investigations.
• Perform quality checks and release product when required.
• Perform root cause analysis and action plans for QIs.
• Act as a contact for Pest Control in lieu of the Quality Manager.
• Perform shift audits and monitor operator compliance with standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all SOP and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
