Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for first and second shifts in Savannah. Typical duties include counting and inspecting products for inbound and outbound freight, verifying quantities, labeling, and accuracy of shipments.

You will report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments to the appropriate personnel. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work irregular hours, including nights and

Responsibilities

  • Check and count all products for inbound/outbound freight
  • Ensure quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of outbound orders are correct
  • Report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments
  • Check contents of orders by Selectors for accuracy
  • Compare order details with customer orders to confirm shipments are complete and correct

1st Shift - 6am - 2:30pm - $20

2nd shift - 6pm - 2:30am - $21

Irregular or extended hours, weekends and potentially holidays, up to 10-12 hours

What’s a typical day as a Quality Control Inspector? You’ll be:

  • Accurately checking and counting all products for both inbound and outbound freight
  • Ensuring that the quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of outbound orders are correct
  • Reporting shortages, damages, and mis-shipments to the appropriate personnel
  • Checking the contents of orders assembled by Order Selectors to ensure accuracy
  • Comparing quantity, quality, labeling, and address with customer orders to confirm shipments are complete and correct

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role (required)
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED (required)
  • Are able to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and potentially holidays as needed
  • Can lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs. without restriction and stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
  • Have experience using MS Office and other computer applications
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, mathematical, communication, and customer service skills
  • Are able to work independently and with minimal supervision
