Summit Staffing, Inc. in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Quality Checker for 1st shift to inspect merchandise for damage, verify descriptions and packaging, and ensure order accuracy.

You will work six days a week with overtime; peak pay is $19.50/hr (includes $2.50 peak premium through 12/20/26). Base pay after peak is $17.00/hr. Seasonal with a chance to stay on, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and holiday pay.

Competenze

• Attention to detail required.
• Warehouse or inventory experience is a plus.
• Basic computer and scanner skills are a plus.
• Able to stand, walk and handle merchandise for a full shift.
• Background check and drug test required.
• No cell phones or headphones on the floor.

Quality Checker | Romeoville, IL | 1st shift

Peak pay: $19.50/hr (includes $2.50/hr peak premium through 12/20/26). Paid weekly.

Peak hours: Every shift is working 6 days a week right now, with overtime paid at 1.5x. That means overtime hours every week through peak. Base pay after peak: $17.00/hr.

Breaks: Two paid 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch every shift.

Start days: New starts on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Peak bonuses:

• +$100 every week you work every scheduled shift, on time
• Up to $1,000 at season end based on attendance

What you'll do:

• Inspect incoming, stored and outgoing merchandise for damage and defects
• Check product descriptions, quantities, labels and packaging against the order
• Document what you find and flag damaged or incorrect items
• Separate products that don't meet quality standards
• Help with returns, rework and repackaging as directed
• Keep the inspection area clean, safe and organized
