Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Quality Coordinator to support the Quality Control Manager in ensuring product quality across the cement manufacturing process. In the QC Manager’s absence, the Coordinator steps in with authority to maintain standards.

The role focuses on elevating technical capabilities across plant operations, supporting the quality-production-maintenance triangle, and driving safe, compliant production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or comparable industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in cement quality control or process engineering.
  • Experience in a cement-manufacturing environment with increasing responsibilities for quality product compliance.
  • Ability to learn numerous software systems.
  • Proven problem solving through root cause analysis for quality related issues.
  • Good computer skills; able to communicate, coordinate, interface and correspond with customers and plant staff.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise lab operators, lab facility and QC equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of plant raw materials, products and quality standards.
  • Follow safety regulations and established procedures at all times.
  • Promote safety practices throughout the plant.
  • Communicate information to appropriate personnel and coordinate with Production.
  • Lead studies to optimize cement manufacturing and monitor material quality.
  • Balance additive usage to maintain quality and minimize costs.

The Quality Coordinator is charged with assisting the Quality Control Manager in carrying out duties and responsibilities to ensure acceptable product quality at each phase of the manufacturing process. In the absence of the QC Manager, the Coordinator assumes the responsibility and authority of that position.

Participates in the improvement of the Plant's technical capabilities. This position has a requirement of elevating the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation. In this regard, the Quality Coordinator will be fundamental to completing the technical triangle of quality-production-maintenance.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise lab operators, lab facility and maintaining QC equipment
  • Detailed knowledge of plant raw materials, products, quality standards
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Observes safety regulations and
  • established operational procedures at all times. Promotes safety practices and efforts throughout the plant.
  • Present a positive, professional attitude, and communicates information regarding
  • Maintains close contact with all phases of plant operation and informs the appropriate personnel of situations detrimental to product quality and production. Coordinate with Production to maintain product inventories
  • Initiate, direct and participate in studies designed to optimize cement manufacturing Monitors quality of incoming raw materials and fuels
  • Balances rates of additives used so as to maintain quality and minimize cost. Formulate plant specific quality policies and strategies.
  • Performs method development for new laboratory analysis
  • Provide leadership and training for quality and production members to meet Customer designated channels; and verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Maintain effective relations with customer services, sales and all plant departments
  • Write and/or contribute to reports.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in science or comparable industry experience
  • Prefer minimum 3 years' experience in cement quality control or process engineering.
  • Prior experience in a cement-manufacturing environment with increasingresponsibilities for quality product compliance
  • Ability to learn numerous software systems
  • Problem solving: Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis for quality related issues
  • Requires good computer skills, must be able to effectively communicate, coordinate, interface, and correspond with customers and plant staff.
