Job summary

Vertage Inc. in Dearborn, MI is seeking experienced Quality / Manufacturing Engineers to ensure automotive supplier readiness and product launches. You will collaborate with suppliers to drive quality improvements, manage APQP/PPAP activities, and support launch readiness and issue resolution.

The role requires strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and knowledge of automotive quality standards. Ford experience and Six Sigma/Lean background are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in supplier quality and APQP/PPAP processes preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required.

We are seeking experienced Quality / Manufacturing Engineers with a strong background in automotive supplier quality, manufacturing processes, and launch support. This role will work closely with suppliers to ensure manufacturing readiness, quality compliance, and successful product launches.

Required Skills:

• Manufacturing Quality Engineering
• Automotive Industry Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field

Preferred Manufacturing Experience:

• Stamping Processes
• Welding Processes (Spot, Resistance, MIG, Projection)
• Thermoforming Processes
• Automotive Interior Components (Cross Car Beams, Carpets, Heat Shields, NVH Insulators)

Responsibilities:

• Lead APQP and PPAP activities
• Drive supplier quality improvements
• Support launch readiness and issue resolution
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Ensure supplier compliance with quality and delivery standards
• Work cross-functionally with suppliers and internal teams

Preferred:

• Ford experience
