Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Plant Quality Engineer to support quality functions in an automotive manufacturing environment. You will perform quality reviews of design docs, manage supplier and customer quality systems, and drive corrective actions.

The role emphasizes hands-on QC leadership, PPAP management, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer requirements and maintain IATF 16949 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Recent experience in Automotive Industry.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 Quality Systems.
• Experience with APQP system.
• Exceptional communications skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
• Proven technical skills on product and process.
• Experience in program launch with an automotive manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Utilize core AIAG quality tools to resolve quality concerns.
• Manage internal and external quality concerns and pareto analysis.
• Act as customer support and investigate complaints.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities and capability studies.
• Assist with IATF 16949 activities.
• Manage/interface customer quality system.
• Address supplier quality issues and manage QC holds.
• Create and maintain approved PPAP status with customers.
• Review disposition of products on hold and organize rework.
• Resolve internal/external quality problems and implement corrective actions.
• Create/update job books to set standards and specs.
• Use 8D, 5Why and other problem solving techniques.
• Audit problematic jobs with Manufacturing Team Leaders.
• Perform audits to support plant function.
