MidWestern IT is seeking a Quality Analyst (Junior to Mid-Level) for a Connecticut-based role. This W2 contract requires onsite/hybrid/remote work options and eligibility for U.S. citizens, green cards, or H4 EAD holders.

You will perform full lifecycle testing across desktop, web, and mobile apps, design and execute test scripts, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with agile teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, IT, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience validating applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong SDLC/STLC knowledge and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Proficiency with Jira, Xray, Git for test management and version control.
• Excellent root-cause analysis and technical communication skills.

Position Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Full-Lifecycle Software Testing: Design, develop, execute, and deploy robust manual and automated test scripts across desktop, web, or mobile software applications from concept to production.
• System Troubleshooting & Defect Tracking: Troubleshoot, debug, and log legacy codebase bugs and software system defects to eliminate runtime operational bottlenecks.
• Code Optimization & Test Scalability: Refactor test frameworks and monitor system workloads to ensure peak software quality, rigorous boundary value validation, and cross-platform regression scalability.
• Test Planning & Documentation: Write clean, modular, and well-documented test cases, plans, and traceability matrices while maintaining clean defect lifecycle reporting.
• Agile Integration & Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional engineering squads, development, and product teams to execute quality deliverables seamlessly within Agile/Scrum project sprints.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical track.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Literacy: Hands-on experience or practical familiarity validating applications deployed within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Methodologies & SDLC: Strong command of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) principles, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Languages & Tooling: Proficiency in core automation scripting languages (such as Java, C#, C++, or Python) alongside mastery of test management and version control tools like Jira, Xray, and Git.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional root-cause analysis, black-box testing problem-solving, structural code validation aptitude, and strong technical communication skills.
