Job summary

MidWestern IT is seeking a Quality Analyst (Junior to Mid-Level) for a Connecticut-based role. This W2 contract requires onsite/hybrid/remote work options and eligibility for U.S. citizens, green cards, or H4 EAD holders.

You will perform full lifecycle testing across desktop, web, and mobile apps, design and execute test scripts, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with agile teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, IT, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience validating applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong SDLC/STLC knowledge and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Proficiency with Jira, Xray, Git for test management and version control.
• Excellent root-cause analysis and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Full-lifecycle software testing: design, develop, execute, and deploy manual and automated tests across desktop, web, or mobile apps.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and log legacy codebase defects to reduce runtime bottlenecks.
• Refactor test frameworks and monitor workloads to ensure quality and cross-platform regression.
• Write clean, modular test cases, plans, and traceability matrices with defect lifecycle reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering squads, development, and product teams within Agile/Scrum.
