Job summary

Byron Wellness Community is hiring a Qualified Medication Aide to join our caring team on the 3rd shift in Indiana. You will administer medications under supervision, monitor residents’ health, and document responses accurately.

We seek a compassionate, patient, and team-oriented caregiver with an Indiana CNA license and a state-approved CMA training. Eligible team members receive comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within our supportive, resident-centered culture.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and an active Indiana CNA license.
  • Licensed Certified Medication Aide with completed state training and exams.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork in daily resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications under nurse supervision and follow facility policies.
  • Observe residents, report changes in condition, and document responses.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and other team members.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and provide a respectful, safe environment.

As a Qualified Medication Aide

As a Qualified Medication Aide, you'll play an important role in helping residents remain safe, healthy, comfortable, and engaged in daily life.

You’ll be part of a team that believes every interaction matters.

What You’ll Do

Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, you will help residents maintain the highest possible quality of life while ensuring medications are administered safely and accurately.

Responsibilities Include
  • Administering medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
  • Observing residents and reporting concerns or changes in condition
  • Documenting medication administration and resident responses accurately
  • Identifying and reporting medication errors or concerns
  • Supporting resident care and comfort throughout the shift
  • Collaborating with nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and other team members
  • Maintaining resident confidentiality and privacy
  • Following safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting a positive, respectful, resident-focused environment

Most importantly, you’ll help ensure residents receive the care, dignity, and attention they deserve every day.

Requirements

Every other weekend and rotating holidays required

Required Qualifications
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant with current Indiana License.
  • Must be a licensed Certified Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia, behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or other specialized populations.
