PossAbility, LLC seeks a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) to oversee ISPs for individuals with diverse disabilities in Illinois. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, human services, public health, or related field.
  • QIDP certified and listed on the Department’s QIDP database.
  • Five+ years of experience as a direct care worker for individuals with IDD.
  • Ability to support individuals with IDD and develop support strategies.
  • Knowledge of home care regulations and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) Job Description

A Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) of PossAbility, LLC is responsible for overseeing and managing the Individual Service Plans (ISPs) for individuals with Diverse Disabilities and Abilities, ensuring they receive appropriate support and services. This includes developing and implementing behavior support plans, preparing monthly reviews of program status, and interacting with individuals to gather data and assess progress. QIDPs also play a role in interdisciplinary collaboration and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Individual Service Plan (ISP) Development and Implementation: QIDPs are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring ISPs to ensure individuals' needs are met and their rights are protected.
  • Individual Behavior Support Plans (BSPs): QIDPs assist in developing and overseeing BSPs, which are plans to address challenging behaviors in individuals with Diverse Disabilities and Abilities.
  • Monthly Program Reviews: QIDPs prepare written monthly reviews of program status, including data collection, narrative updates, and community involvement.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: QIDPs work collaboratively with other professionals, including therapists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure individuals receive comprehensive support.
  • Regulatory Compliance: QIDPs ensure programs are compliant with applicable regulations, such as those from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) and other relevant agencies.
  • Case Management: QIDPs serve as the primary case manager for individuals they support, ensuring consistency among different programs and external services.
  • Training and Supervision: QIDPs may be involved in training staff on specific aspects of program implementation and may supervise other staff members.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare, human services, public health, or any other related field
  • QIDP certified and on the Department’s QIDP database
  • Five or more years of experience working as a direct care worker for individuals with IDD
  • Proven ability to support individuals with IDD and develop support strategies
  • Knowledge of home care regulations and best practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • A valid driver's license, proof of insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
