Job Overview

The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional ensures the safety and well‑being of each individual assigned to their care. This position supports and resources staff across classroom/day program and residential setting, ensuring consistent carryover and monitoring of programming. The QIDP assists in training direct care staff and serves as a communication liaison among the Day Program, Program Coordinator, direct care staff, and residents. The QIDP ensures compliance with Federal, State, and The Center for Discovery policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field and at least one year of relevant experience at The Center. Applicants should be proactive, self‑motivated, and have strong communication skills. They should be capable of training staff, embrace a team‑based approach, and be flexible with work hours.
