Job summary

Developmental Options is seeking a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities within the ICF/IDD program. The role focuses on creating and implementing individualized care plans that promote growth and well-being, ensuring the highest standard of care for each client.

The professional will provide direct support, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and professionals to coordinate services, while applying behavior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required or strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, families and team members.
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience developing individualized care plans and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • CPR/First aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to coordinate services effectively.
  • Provide training and support to staff on best practices in patient care.
