Job summary

Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana is seeking a Say Cheese Supervisor to lead daily shift operations, ensure accurate orders and consistent food quality. You will direct shift leads, reinforce food safety and company standards, and provide hands-on support across the operation.

The role reports to the Say Cheese Assistant Manager, coordinating staffing, guest service, inventory and operational concerns in a fast-paced campus environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of food service or customer service experience in a fast-paced operation.
• At least one year of experience leading or training employees.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and guest service skills.
• Ability to coach employees and stay professional under pressure.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, email and operational records.

Responsibilities

• Lead opening, service and closing activities using checklists; verify daily cleaning, prep and closing duties.
• Assign employees to stations, coordinate order flow and maintain coverage during peak and slow periods.
• Monitor service speed, order accuracy, preparation standards and product presentation; assist at stations and the register as needed.
• Resolve routine guest concerns professionally within guidelines; escalate issues outside authority.
• Maintain a welcoming guest experience and reinforce knowledge of menu, pricing, and campus information.
• Enforce safe food handling, sanitation, personal hygiene and allergen procedures; ensure recipes and prep methods are followed.
• Verify temperature checks, holding times, date labeling, product freshness and stock rotation; complete records.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and safe storage; report hazards and equipment problems.
• Check food quality; remove products not meeting standards.
• Enforce portion sizes and pre-portioning to control food costs.
• Communicate low stock or shortages to the Assistant Manager; manage inventory counts.
