Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a General Manager for a Quick Service Restaurant inside a travel plaza on a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to achieve sales, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and profitability.

You’ll manage day-to-day operations, budgets, and staffing while ensuring food safety and exceptional guest experiences. This on-site role requires flexibility, working approx. 50 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years supervising or unit-level management in a quick service restaurant.
• Flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours/week including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift and carry at least 20 pounds.
• Occasional travel to support other locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day QSR operations and profitability goals.
• Manage budgets, inventory, food and labor costs, and reporting.
• Ensure brand standards and food safety requirements are met.
• Foster engaging work culture with learning and recognition.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a strong team with proper staffing.
• Hire, coach, train, promote, discipline, or transfer QSR staff.
• Monitor cash handling policies and enforce procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, Facilities & Maintenance.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with vendors and communities.
