Job summary

Urgent Behavioral Solutions seeks a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide stabilization and crisis intervention for individuals affected by behavioral health and substance use issues, within a trauma-informed care framework. The role emphasizes a warm, empathic approach and dual recovery philosophy.

You will conduct interviews, generate initial treatment plans, arrange follow-up services, and coordinate with other providers to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• QMHP candidate must meet Missouri QMHP criteria and be eligible for credentialing.
• One year of behavioral health experience is preferred.
• Crisis intervention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide stabilization to patients presenting at UBS when requested.
• Perform interviews and assessments to generate preliminary, person-centered treatment plans.
• Coordinate with patient’s regular service providers or continuity of care when outpatient services are in place.
• Be knowledgeable about involuntary detention laws and procedures.
• Report to the Director of Urgent Care Services for supervision.
