Job summary

Urgent Behavioral Solutions (UBS) seeks a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to deliver a full range of behavioral health services with a trauma-informed approach. The QMHP will stabilize patients, perform interviews and impact treatment planning for new patients within a warm, empathetic environment.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, coordinated follow-up, and understanding involuntary detention laws.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health or human services meeting QMHP criteria as outlined by Missouri Department of Mental Health.
• One year of experience in behavioral health preferred.
• One year experience in crisis intervention work preferred.

Responsibilities

• QMHP shall provide stabilization to patients presenting at Urgent Behavioral Solutions when requested.
• QMHP shall assure crisis intervention principles are underlying delivery of services, including accessible care, systemic crisis view, and advocacy.
• QMHP performs interviews and assessments, identifying present problems and generating preliminary, person-centered treatment plans for all new patients.
• Provide follow-up services for those seen and coordinate with patient’s regular service providers or continue service using evidence-based practices.
• QMHP shall be knowledgeable in involuntary detention laws and procedures.
• QMHP shall report to and be under the administration of the Director of Urgent Care Services for supervision and program guidance.
