Job summary

MorningStar of Arvada is seeking a Med Care Manager/QMAP to administer, pour, pass, and document medications per physician orders under the direction of the Wellness Director. You will learn residents’ preferred methods for taking medications and ensure accuracy and safety.

This role requires CO QMAP certification, state-approved Medication Administration training, and a high school diploma with preferred experience in assisted living or memory care.

Qualifications

• QMAP CO certification and state-approved Medication Administration training required.
• First Aid certification required by ALF regulations.
• Minimum high school diploma; experience in assisted living/memory care preferred; medication administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications per MAR, under Wellness Director guidance.
• Order medications 7 days before running out; ensure timely delivery and notify if late.
• Document medications given in residents' medical records with date and initials.
• Observe and report medication reactions or side effects to licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs prior to administration when required by physician orders.
• Assist in care planning and support residents' privacy, safety, and well-being.
