Job summary

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living is seeking a QMAP/Caregiver to join our team. You will assist residents with daily living activities and follow care plans under supervision in a Rocky Mountain Assisted Living home.

This role requires a currently active QMAP Certification, First Aid and CPR, fluent English, and at least one year of elder care experience. The position involves 12-hour shifts and lifting up to 30 pounds, performed within a supportive, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Sympathetic attitude toward elderly care.
• Ability to carry out written and verbal directions and to speak, read and write fluently in English.
• Current QMAP Certification.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year experience providing care to the elderly or persons with disabilities.
• Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living in accordance with care plans and RMAL policies.
• Understands, adheres to RMAL policies and Resident Rights.
• Administers routine and PRN medications per state regulations and RMAL policies.
• Communicates changes in resident condition to supervisor.
• Follows activities calendar and ensures at least one activity per shift.
• Performs housekeeping duties to keep the home clean and tidy.
• Participates in orientation, training, and in-service programs.
• Documents in logs and MAR before leaving every shift in a professional manner.
• Maintains a positive and professional attitude when interacting with families, physicians, and staff.
