Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or be eligible to enter such a program.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Willingness and ability to seek new methods and principles.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer medication in accordance with physician’s orders.
• Chart routine medications and medication omissions.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents.

Skills

Understanding of medication administration procedures

Ability to perform basic math functions

Strong communication skills

Experience in a healthcare environment

Education

High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
