Job summary

Traditionsatnorthwillow in Michigan is seeking a qualified QMA to administer medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies, while providing support, monitoring, and communication to promote independence and quality of life.

The role requires successful completion of a state-approved training program, annual medication evaluation with a Registered Pharmacy Consultant, and an active QMA certificate for the state.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved training program in medication administration.
• Must complete annual medication evaluation with Registered Pharmacy Consultant.
• Current QMA Certificate for current state

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed and document administration.
• Administer PRN meds as authorized.
• Verify orders against medication forms.
• Maintain drug storage and keep cart secured.
• Take vital signs and document.
• Chart resident conditions timely with nurse cosign.
• Respond to call lights and alarms promptly.
• Order medications from pharmacy per physician orders.
• Follow HIPAA privacy laws.
