Job summary

Hartsfield Village is seeking a qualified Medication Assistant (QMA) for an evening shift (3pm-11pm) in its Assisted Living setting. The role provides basic patient care under Powers Health policies and supports the organization’s mission.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, CNA/QMA training, and current state certification. Prior QMA experience is preferred; benefits include healthcare options and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

• State CNA and QMA certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under established policies.
• Responds to call lights and patient requests; relays information to staff.
• Serves meals and nourishments to patients.
• Aids mobility and transfers; assists with ambulation.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment in work areas.

Position Summary

Evenings, 3pm-11pm- Assisted Living

Are you looking for a team focused and energizing role in an Assisted Living setting? Then Hartsfield Village’s QMA position may be what you are looking for! The QMA provides basic patient care. QMA practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides basic care to patients under the guidelines set forth according to policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights, telephones, and/or respond to patient requests; acts on routine requests and/or relays information to proper personnel.
• Serves patient food trays, snacks, and/or nourishment
• Assists with patient mobility, (i.e., lifts, positions patient in bed, transfer between wheelchair and bed, and between cart and bed)
• Assists with patient ambulation as directed.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and aseptic environment in assigned work areas.

Education/Experience

• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course and examination.
• Over 1 year of QMA work experience preferred.
• Current valid State certification is required for both CNA and QMA.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform required competencies within allotted time periods.
