Job summary

Englewood Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications and provide daily care to residents in a supportive environment. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be certified by the Indiana State Department of Health as a CNA in good standing.
• Must have completed a state approved training program in medication administration and have current QMA certification by the Indiana State Department of Health.
• Understand the principles of safe, effective nursing practices within Indiana.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administration, daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of residents.
• Administer and document oral, eye, topical, and PRN medications under nurse direction.
• Maintain locked medication cart and keys; assist with bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care and grooming.
• Assist with feeding, hydration, mobility, and transfers per care plan.
• Observe and report changes in appetite, skin condition, behavior or medication effects.
