The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional/Program Specialist is a person responsible for serving as the primary advocate for individuals and for ensuring that monitoring functions are completed appropriately. The QIDP/PS will also act as the Program Specialist (PS). A QIDP's assignment may be a defined caseload, encompassing traveling to a defined number of homes in the community (SFR & CLP). The QIDP is required to travel to any day program for the individual and acts as the liaison between the facility, individual's family, and outside agencies. Supervision is provided by the Social Services Supervisor.
