IonQ, Inc. in Bothell, WA seeks a QEC Researcher to advance quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing. You will design error correction codes, decoders and logical operations, and simulate them within our architecture.

You will contribute to simulation tools, share results through papers and talks, and collaborate with colleagues across physics, math, and computer science to push the boundaries of quantum computing.

Competenze

• PhD in quantum computing, mathematics, physics, computer science or related field.
• Approximately five years of research experience in quantum information science.

Mansioni

• Contribute to design of fault-tolerant quantum computer components (QEC protocols, logical operations, decoders).
• Develop and extend the quantum error correction team’s simulation tools.
• Publish research results and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with team members across disciplines and domains.
