IonQ in Bothell, WA is seeking a QEC Researcher to advance quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing within the Compute - Architecture team.

You will design, optimize and simulate codes, decoders and logical operations, contributing to the architecture of our fault-tolerant quantum computer and publishing results at conferences and in papers.

Travel for conferences is anticipated as part of the role.

Qualifications

• PhD required with around five years of research experience.
• Strong expertise in quantum error correction (QEC) simulation and physics simulation.
• Experience presenting research at conferences and in papers.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to design of core components of fault-tolerant quantum computer architecture.
• Develop and extend simulation tools for the QEC team.
• Publish research results in papers and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
