IonQ, Inc. seeks a QEC Researcher to advance quantum error correction for fault-tolerant quantum computers. You will design, optimize and simulate QEC codes, decoders, and logical operations as part of a cross-functional team building scalable quantum processors.

Responsibilities include developing simulation tools, contributing to research papers and conference talks while collaborating with colleagues across theory and experiments.

Qualifications

• PhD in quantum computing or related field with strong research background.
• Around five years of research experience in quantum error correction.
• Expertise in QEC simulation and physics simulation, including Stim and Monte Carlo methods.

Responsabilités

• Design core components of fault-tolerant quantum computer architecture.
• Develop and extend the QEC team’s simulation tools.
• Contribute to research papers and conference talks.
• Collaborate across teams with different areas of expertise.
