Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to perform quality control tests on materials (sand/rock) for specific product lines using ASTM and AASHTO standards. You will carry out ongoing lab and field sampling and ensure materials meet specifications.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED, computer proficiency, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. You’ll work with supervision, travel to multi-region locations, and contribute to safety and quality documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; two years of post-secondary technical education in sciences preferred.
• At least two years of experience as materials QC laboratory technician preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Google applications; ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control tests on materials (sand/rock) per ASTM/AASHTO standards.
• Conduct lab and field sampling; ensure materials meet specifications.
• Document material control plans and performance data; update test databases and reports.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment; assist with troubleshooting.
• Support safety and environmental policies; travel to multi-region locations as needed.
