Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to join our team. If you enjoy laboratory testing and producing accurate, high-quality results, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a QC role.

You will perform testing on finished products to help ensure quality, safety, and regulatory standards, following GLP, GDP, GMP guidelines and 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity. Shift: 5pm–5am, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
  • 0–5 years external experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication of lab data to other departments.
  • Understanding of basic statistical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing on in-process and finished goods following SOPs and scientific methods.
  • Follow GLP, GDP, GMP guidelines and 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity.
  • Perform wet chemical tests using written methods and procedures.
  • Operate lab equipment including pipets, KF titrator, colorimeter, UV-Vis, and balances.
  • Record results in lab software and databases; approve/adjust/reject samples per specs.
  • Participate in Gage R&R and other QC-method statistical studies.

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician I to join our team. If you enjoy working in a laboratory environment and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality results, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will perform testing on finished products to help ensure they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. As part of our expanding natural color business, you will play an important role in supporting product quality while working in newly expanded laboratory facilities.

Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday (5pm - 5am)

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform testing on in-process and finished goods following standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Follow GLP, GDP, GMP guidelines and 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity. Provide technical support to the quality and quality engineering functions.
  • Perform a variety of laboratory wet chemical tests using written methods and procedures.
  • Use of general laboratory equipment including pipets, burets, KF titrator, colorimeter, UV-Vis, and analytical balances.
  • Approve, adjust, and reject samples, following product guidelines and specifications. Record results on every sample analyzed using lab software and databases.
  • Participate in Gage R&R and other statistical studies of QC methods.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Technical Degree.
  • 0 -5years external experience
  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, lab data and results to other departments.
  • An understanding of basic statistical tools.
