Job summary

Actalent seeks a Quality Control Technician for Eau Claire, Wisconsin. You will test materials, water, and products, document results, and support GLP and safety practices in a hands-on lab setting.

Candidates should have a biology/chemistry life-science background, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new methods and instrumentation. This contract-to-hire role offers onsite work and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field, or relevant quality/lab experience.
• Foundational lab knowledge with willingness to learn new methods and instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow testing procedures and document results.
• Previous QC/QA, food manufacturing, or GMP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test incoming materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental samples.
• Perform physical and analytical testing using lab equipment (pH meters, FTIR, XRF, conductivity meters, sieve shakers).
• Accurately document and communicate laboratory results.
• Prepare and coordinate samples for testing at external laboratories.
• Follow GLP, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Support equipment checks, calibrations, and lab organization.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to ensure product safety and quality.
• Gain exposure to additional testing methods as capabilities expand.
