Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Microbiology - Quality Control Technologist for a contract-to-hire role in Lenexa, KS. You will perform laboratory testing, maintain GMP/GLP documentation, and support QA initiatives to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has extensive QC/QA or microbiology lab experience, familiarity with Master Control, and strong teamwork skills to collaborate across departments while ensuring accuracy and adherence to ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years combined QC/QA or microbiology laboratory experience.
• Lab experience in biological sciences, especially microbiology.
• Familiar with FDA regulations for medical devices or similar regulated products.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration across departments.
• Attention to detail and self-motivated mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain product compliance specifications and ensure documentation is current.
• Perform laboratory tests per SOPs and document results clearly.
• Maintain and adhere to GMP/GLP and ISO requirements in testing processes.
• Collaborate with QA to resolve issues and support quality initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement programs within the department.
