Job summary

Kuert Concrete Inc. in Sellersburg, Indiana is seeking a safety‑conscious technician to support field sampling and laboratory testing of aggregates and to ensure compliance with INDOT, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.

You will maintain accurate records, cooperate with the QC Manager, and participate in certification programs while upholding a professional image of the company.

This on‑site role requires physical ability to lift 50 pounds and readiness to perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical operations involving variables and percentages.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Perform field sampling and testing of aggregates per INDOT/ASTM/AASHTO; report results.
• Maintain neat records and timely reporting of results.
• Keep a clean, professional lab; follow MSHA and imi safety regulations.
• Maintain certifications through exams and industry courses.
• Coordinate with the QC Manager to support the company's quality vision.
• Display professionalism and promote a positive image for the company.
• Handle additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Job description

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Perform field sampling and laboratory testing of aggregates in accordance with INDOT, ASTM and AASHTO standards and report those results to the Plant Superintendent or Plant Manager
• Maintain records and report results in a neat and timely manner
• Maintain a clean and professional lab and recognize and observe all safety regulations including MSHA and imi policies
• Maintain certifications and qualifications through exams, seminars and related industry courses
• Cooperate with their respective QC Manager in addition to assisting in achieving and maintaining the company’s corporate quality vision
• Maintain an appropriate level of professionalism and exhibit a manner of conduct consistent with promoting a good image for the company
• Additional duties/special projects as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must be safety oriented and experienced with MSHA regulations.
• Some experience in the aggregate industry is a plus but not required
• Must have the ability to perform mathematical operations involving variables and percentages
• Must have the ability to assess situations and solve problems quickly
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
• Computer skills in G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Become an INDOT CAPP Certified Technician within 12 months of hire.
