Job summary

Actalent is seeking a QC Scientist I to join a regulated quality control lab in Eugene, OR. The role focuses on routine analytical testing (HPLC, ICP-MS, UV-Vis, dissolution) and microbiological support, with emphasis on data integrity and cGMP/GLP compliance.

You will document results, maintain records, and assist with deviations and OOS investigations while collaborating with quality teams to align with production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated QC lab following cGMP/GLP.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation, especially HPLC.
• SOP adherence and GDP documentation experience.
• Ability to investigate results and uphold data integrity.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and microbiology testing.
• Experience using LIMS and related software for data handling.
• Strong computer skills and lab informatics familiarity.
• Excellent organization and clear communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing (HPLC, ICP-MS, UV-Vis, dissolution).
• Conduct microbiological testing and aseptic operations.
• Follow SOPs and ensure cGMP/GLP/GDP compliance.
• Document results, maintain lab records, and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments and equipment.
• Utilize LIMS and laboratory software to manage data.
• Investigate deviations and report OOS findings per procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and quality projects.
• Collaborate with lab and quality teams to meet production timelines.
• Keep the lab workspace compliant, clean, and safe.
