Job summary

Serán BioScience in Bend, Oregon is expanding its GMP manufacturing campus and seeking a Commercial Quality Control Chemist to contribute to the start-up of the new QC laboratory. You will perform routine and non-routine analytical testing across finished products, in-process, and materials, operate HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and ensure cGMP and GDocP compliance.

The role emphasizes accurate data generation, documentation, CAPA support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field; 1–2 years lab experience preferred.
• Master’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field; 1 year lab experience preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical commercial QC testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of commercial pharmaceutical products.
• Execute facility testing, finished product release, stability, in-process control, raw material testing.
• Operate HPLC, GC, dissolution, UV-Vis, FTIR and other qualified techniques.
• Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and solutions per procedures.
• Accurately calculate, document, and report analytical results within timelines.
• Adhere to cGMP and GDocP; ensure data integrity and proper documentation.
• Review data and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment and participate in investigations.
• Support CAPAs, method transfers, and training programs as assigned.
