Job summary

Standard Process Inc. in Palmyra, WI is seeking an entry-level Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team.

You will perform basic microbiology testing, test for allergens, and help generate GMP/GLP documentation in a professional laboratory setting. The role requires following procedures precisely, handling bacteria and chemicals safely, and collaborating with a team to support product safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2 year Associate Science Lab degree preferred and/or additional college courses and work related experience.
• Up to 1 year; entry level position in Quality Control environment.
• Willingness to learn a scientific area, particularly in chemistry or biology.
• Ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Capable of working on a team with different levels of experience and education.
• Displays integrity in building relationships and a passion for customer needs.
• Be willing to grasp a basic understanding of general laboratory practices (GLP).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic microbiology tasks such as weighing samples for testing and pH’ing of samples.
• Test products and environmental swabs for bacteria and allergens.
• Generate GMP & GLP documentation for quality control.
• Perform instrument calibration including daily pipette and scale calibrations.
• Maintain inventory of microbiology supplies.
• Verify product safety.
• Prepare reagents for various assays and tests.
• Sample environmental swabs, products or raw materials as needed.
• Perform Lab functions in a timely matter.
• Help with daily incubator checks and cleaning as needed.
