Job summary

Oxoid Remel Microbiology is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the Lenexa laboratory. You will manage a team of 6–10 QC staff, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and CLSI/USP guidelines, and partner across functions to resolve quality issues.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong microbiology knowledge, and the ability to develop personnel while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, with Microbiology preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of microbiology laboratory experience.
• 2–5 years of supervisory or people-management experience.
• Experience leading technical laboratory personnel and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily activities of the Quality Control laboratory, establishing priorities and assigning work.
• Manage, coach, train, and develop a team of approximately 6–10 Quality Control employees.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with SOPs, FDA requirements, GMP, and quality standards.
• Investigate out-of-limit results, deviations, and product failures, including root cause analysis.
