Job summary

Legend Biotech in Bridgewater, New Jersey, seeks a Supervisor, QC Microbiology to lead the quality control microbiology labs supporting cell therapy manufacturing. You will hire, develop, and manage staff, review data, and own QC microbiology projects with risk-based decision making.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, 6+ years in aseptic manufacturing or QC/QA in cell therapy, and at least 1 year of leadership. Travel to NJ/PA sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• 6+ years relevant work experience in aseptic manufacturing or QC/QA in cell therapy.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• Experience with quality systems and regulatory guidance preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop and manage staff in QC microbiology labs.
• Review/approve laboratory test data.
• Develop and implement microbiology procedures and methods.
• Support laboratory investigations and ownership of projects.
• Train staff in cGMP and safety.
• Coordinate with QA, Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Engineering and Maintenance.
• Manage departmental budget and staffing plans.
• Calibration and qualification of laboratory instruments and equipment.
