Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC. seeks a QC Manager for its Lawrence, KS fabrication shop to ensure weld quality and compliance with codes and procedures. The role involves reviewing specs, communicating with the production team, and guiding NDE requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Weld Inspector certification required or in process.
• 5+ years of full-time pipefitting experience; Journeyman level.
• Union piping trade background preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to pass background, drug, and MVR checks; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review production job specs to determine code of construction, welding procedures, and NDE requirements.
• Convey information to the production team and ensure welds meet quality standards.
• Review welds for compliance and contribute to overall production quality.
