Job summary

COMPA Industries, Inc. in Aiken, SC is seeking a Principal Quality Control Engineer, aka Electrical / I&C Inspector, to lead inspection plans for electrical and I&C scopes on the SPD/K-PuMP project.

You will supervise QC engineers, direct quality requirements, and prioritize tasks to meet construction and operations needs. The role requires a BS in a technical field with 8–10 years in construction inspection, ASME NQA-1 experience, and DOE Q eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 8–10 years in construction inspection.
• Equivalents: an Associate’s degree with 10–12 years, or a high school diploma with 12–16 years in inspection roles.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise quality control engineers performing inspections and surveillance.
• Develop, revise, and peer-review Quality Control Inspection Plans for electrical and I&C scope.
• Perform field inspections and document results; issue non-conformances as needed.
• Review product and process compliance against drawings, specs and requirements.
• Prioritize activities to support construction and operations; resolve complex issues.
• Approve subcontractor quality procedures and monitor adherence.
• Prepare quality procedures for inspection, testing, and surveillance activities.
• Coordinate QC activities with other construction departments to ensure site standards.
• Prepare status reports and participate in contract discussions on quality.
