Position Summary
We are seeking a QC Lab Technician to join our Quality Team. This role is responsible for the inspection, calibration, adjustment, and repair of gauges, tools, and measuring equipment. The technician will also perform detailed dimensional inspections and assist with product validation, including PPAP documentation. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document precision inspections on production parts
  • Calibrate measuring and test equipment on a scheduled basis
  • Adjust and repair tools and gauges to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct Gauge R&R studies and maintain records
  • Program and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Prepare and inspect metallurgical samples for PPAP documentation
  • Perform manual layouts using advanced measurement tools
  • Compute dimensions using shop math and trigonometry
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and histories
  • Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training required
  • 1–2 years of relevant manufacturing/inspection experience preferred
  • Combination of education, experience, and training may be considered
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in use of gauges and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, laser micrometer, etc.)
  • Experience with CMM programming/operation preferred
  • Familiarity with sine bars, JO blocks, column gages, surface plates, etc.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T is a plus
Soft Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Solid math and analytical skills
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
  • Commitment to safety and continuous learning

Additional Requirements

Monday thru Friday: 5AM to 3:30PM-possible OT
Hourly Rate: $17.00 to $22.00
