Job summary

Rocket EMS, Inc. in Carson City, NV seeks a Quality Control Inspector for the second shift to ensure PCB assemblies meet IPC standards. You will perform first article inspections, in-process audits, and monitor the SMT line with authority to halt production for quality issues.

Requires 2+ years in electronics inspection, IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 cert, and strong blueprint reading. On-site role with benefits including 401(k), health coverage, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in an electronics inspection role.
• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification.

Responsibilities

• Review job documentation prior to inspection.
• Conduct SMT First Article Inspections and verify IPC compliance.
• Monitor throughput and quality on SMT lines; halt production if defects arise.
• Provide daily quality pass-down reports to leads and supervisors.
• Initiate and review Technical Inquiries for discrepancies.
• Assist in addressing bottlenecks and escalate unresolved issues to QA.
• Adhere to ESD, MSD handling, safety, and inspection procedures.
• Propose and support continuous process and quality improvements.
