Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a QC Inspector to ensure high-reliability PCB assemblies meet strict quality standards. You will conduct first article inspections, in-process audits, and monitor production quality across the SMT line, with authority to pause lines when quality is at risk.

Qualifications include IPC-A-610 certification and at least 2 years in electronics inspection. The role features a day shift, onsite in Carson City, NV with a benefits package including 401(k), health coverage, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must have solid attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• In-depth knowledge of IPC workmanship standards (Class 2/3).
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Review job documentation (MPI, Deviations, ECOs, Customer Requirements) before inspection.
• Perform SMT First Article Inspections and verify IPC-A-610 compliance.
• Monitor throughput and quality; stop production if major defects are found and escalate.
• Provide daily quality pass-down reports and update leads on results.
• Raise and review Technical Inquiries for discrepancies; ensure proper authorization.
