Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for managing quality across the three stages of vehicle production (before, in process, and final repairs), ensuring repairs meet factory and county specifications, and verifying that vehicles are repaired according to estimates and standards.

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION

Pay Rate: $26.00

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review approved estimates and supplements against repaired vehicles
• Notify management of any additional repairs needed
• Maintain all safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirators, as recommended by manufacturers
• Ensure the use of all required safety equipment across all locations
• Comply with laws and regulations related to hazardous materials, reporting deviations to management
• Assist in the repair and prep of vehicles
• Stay informed of and comply with regulations affecting body shop operations, such as waste disposal and OSHA standards
• Operate tools and equipment safely
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3-6 months related experience/training, or equivalent
• Optional: 1 year related work experience
• Valid Driver's License (preferred)
• Certifications such as Damage Analysis and Estimating for Collision Repair or I-CAR are a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changing environments
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, sitting, reaching, and handling tools

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work primarily in a busy service center environment, with outdoor work required in various weather conditions. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, and vibration. Normal hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with possible extended hours.
