Pacific Pros is seeking Construction Inspector for Construction Projects to be a representative for Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA).

Work Location: LAWA has required the candidates be local for this position.

Region: Los Angeles, CA

Status: Full-time on-site.

Opening: Spring 2025, Immediate

Position Description Summary: Serve as Owner's representative.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Inspect construction of airport improvements and utilities projects to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, contracts, permits, environmental documents, and agreements; provide construction inspection support.
2. Document daily work progress, prepare monthly payment requests, track changes, verify work, and measure job quantities.
3. Use computer skills for documentation and information retrieval.
4. Set priorities, make decisions, work with minimal supervision, and interact professionally with stakeholders, contractors, and the public.
5. Inspect installation of sanitary sewer systems, storm drains, and related structures per standards.
6. Oversee underground utility installations within or for regional agencies.
7. Inspect street lighting and traffic signals according to city standards.
8. Ensure compliance with traffic control plans emphasizing pedestrian safety.
9. Collaborate with a team of inspectors.
10. Apply knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans/Specifications and Greenbook.

Hardware/Software Knowledge:

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Adobe Acrobat

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in inspection of large-scale Public Works projects
• Expertise in sewer, storm drain, utility, and traffic control inspections
• Strong knowledge of LA City and County standards
• Effective team work skills
• Detail-oriented with extensive field experience and safety focus
• US Employment Authorization without sponsorship
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License and compliance with Vehicle Policy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• 3+ references from clients

Minimum Education/Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Higher education preferred

Registration/Certification:

• OSHA 30 (within past 4 years)
• No specific certification required but preferred certifications include ICC, etc.

Additional Notes:

• May perform other duties as needed
• May require working various shifts
• Must be able to transit between project sites
• Candidates must be local and available on-site
