D'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Building Inspector in Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports that capture the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all construction work activities, while ensuring the reports are clear and concise to accurately reflect daily progress.
• Assist in reviewing monthly progress payment requests when assigned to a program.
• Track various changes, verify time and material work, measure, and document job quantities.
• Conduct special inspections on various disciplines.
• Possess experience, knowledge, and understanding of methods used throughout construction.
• Possess valid Los Angeles City Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) Deputy Licenses in the following disciplines: Concrete construction, Steel construction, Drilled-in anchors/seismic resistance and Spray-applied fireproofing.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more of experience performing as a LADBS Deputy Building Inspector on Large scale projects.
• Overseeing and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations on significant construction projects.
• Involvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and city officials.
• Expertise in identifying and addressing code violations, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standards.
• Knowledge of Project Management Information Software used for inspection/document control (i.e. PM Web, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, etc.).
• 30-hour Cal-OSHA training prior to assignment. The 30-hour training will have been received within the last 4 years.
