Job summary

Bal Seal Engineering in Colorado Springs is seeking a QC Inspector 2 to perform inspections on manufactured products, using gauges and visual inspection systems, and to follow inspection plans.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years in a quality inspection role, plus the ability to read drawings, document results, and communicate effectively. Bal Seal offers a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum 2 years in a quality inspection role.
• Ability to use manual gauges (e.g. micrometer, calipers, dial indicator, scale).
• Experience with visual inspection systems (e.g. Smartscopes).
• Ability to comprehend written instructions with industry-specific terms and technical concepts.
• Ability to document inspection results and communicate effectively (Spanish a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections as required for the assigned area(s).
• Measure product dimensions using hand-held gauges.
• Perform visual inspection to evaluate qualitative characteristics.
• Measure dimensions using visual inspection systems (e.g. Smartscope).
• Follow part-specific inspection plans.
• Interpret Bal Seal purchase orders.
• Manage workflow and resources for the assigned area(s).
• Interpret and adhere to internal procedures, drawings, and other control documents.
• Create and audit quality records with proper documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
